Who we are
Fixablock is a product of Wrinkledot LLC (“we”), which is the seller of every plan. By creating an account or using Fixablock you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The service
Fixablock shows home-repair contractors the Chicago buildings the City has cited for repairs in their trades and ZIP codes, with a score, the cited work and, where the county has it, the owner's name and mailing address from the property tax bill, in the app and in a morning email.
Your account
One account is for one business user. You sign in with a code we email you, so keep your inbox secure; you're responsible for what happens in your account. Give us an email address you control.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, resell or republish the lists or owner details in bulk, or share your account;
- harass or mislead building owners, or contact anyone who has asked you not to;
- break the laws that apply to how you contact owners, including rules on mail, calls and texts (for example the TCPA, the Do Not Call registry and CAN-SPAM);
- work without the licenses, permits and insurance your work needs. Whether you need a City of Chicago contractor license or a permit for a job is yours to check;
- say or imply that you work for, or were sent by, the City of Chicago;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the service.
Not for credit, insurance, employment or housing decisions
Fixablock is not a consumer reporting agency, and nothing in it is a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You may not use Fixablock or anything in it to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or tenancy, or for any other purpose the FCRA covers.
Accuracy and the City's data
The records come from City of Chicago and Cook County sources that can be late, incomplete or wrong, and a score or job estimate is our guess, not a fact about a building, its owner or the work it needs. Check the records and the building yourself before you act. Fixablock is not legal, tax or financial advice, we are not a party to any job you take, and we take no fee or commission on it.

Trial and paid plans
A new account gets 7 days free, with no card. After the trial you can still read your list; marking outcomes, notes and CSV export need a paid plan. Plans cover all of Chicago for the trades you pick: $79 a month for one trade, or $129 a month for two or more. They're billed monthly in advance through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, plus sales tax where it applies, and renew each month until you cancel. Charges appear on your statement as WRINKLEDOT.
If you subscribe during the trial with at least two days of it left, the first charge comes when the trial ends; with less, it comes at checkout. Adding a second trade moves you to the $129 plan and removing one moves you back, prorated on your next invoice. We'll email you between 7 and 30 days before a new price applies, with a link to cancel. The founding pilot is $79 a month for one trade, billed when you sign up.
Refunds and cancellations
Plans are month to month. Cancel any time in Settings, under Plan (Manage billing); cancelling stops the next charge, and you keep the paid features until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't refund partial months, except:
- a duplicate or accidental charge: in full;
- a renewal you ask us to refund within 7 days of it, if you haven't marked an outcome, saved a note or exported since that renewal: in full, and the plan ends at once;
- if we stop covering Chicago or your trade: the part of the month you've paid for and can't use.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. To ask for one, write to fixablock@wrinkledot.com.
Ending the service
You can stop using Fixablock at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may stop offering Fixablock or a trade with 30 days' notice, refunding any time you've paid for and can't use.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
Fixablock is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost jobs or profits, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, and disputes go to the state or federal courts serving Erie County, Pennsylvania.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date and email account holders at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Using Fixablock after that means you accept it.
